After weeks of wrestling with the dreaded hairdryer, I decided to try a ‘swipe’ technique of flow painting. This technique requires you to put down straight lines of different coloured paints and to then use a palette knife to create a design. I chose to use blue, turquoise, purple and green for this piece and love the depth and merging of colours that ‘swiping’ creates.
