Over the school holidays, we had two grandchildren staying. Our grandchildren are all heading into teen years now, so keeping them occupied is a whole lot more challenging than when they were toddlers. One wet and miserable afternoon we got to talking about ‘careers’ which led to talking about life path or ‘destiny’. A concept that was new to both of them.
So I dug out my much battered numerology book (much scorned by my husband I can tell you) and we looked at their birth dates and what numerology suggests is a life path for each of them. They were utterly fascinated and hopefully they will aim a little higher than ‘career’ after our session.
How to arrive at your ‘destiny’ number. Write down your full date of birth – i.e. 3.4.1956, then add them together – 3 + 4+ 1+9+5+6 = 28. Now add these two numbers together – 2 + 8 = 10. Break this last number down to a single digit – 1 + 0 = 1. The purpose of breaking everything down into a single digit is to be able to work out your actual life path. There are two double numbers you do NOT break down into a single number but more on that later. There are 9 years in a ‘destiny’ cycle, so this person is a number ONE.
Ones are our pioneers and independent spirits. One is described at the vibration of the King Maker. These people make their own ways in life and success depends on their own talents and abilities. They can be highly inspirational and creative. There is, however, a need to avoid an overly strong focus on ‘self’.
Twos are born in the vibration of co-operation, diplomacy and sensitivity. These people like to follow the lead of others, are very affectionate, can be idealistic and are warm and loving. There is a need to be discerning about the motives of those you admire.
Three is the number of self-expression, or artistic ability, the joy of performing and operating in social circumstances. Their challenge is to find a defined path in all of their interests otherwise they can spend their lives scattered.
Fours are practical hard workers, they are self-disciplined, precise and down-to-earth. These people are responsible but need to guard against stubbornness.
Fives are restless, busy people with strong skills in communication. They are highly changeable and there is a strong need to control the thoughts. This is a number that speaks of a love of travel and an enthusiasm for life. The lesson of fives is the constructive use of freedom. There is a need to focus and not scatter and waste their energies.
Sixes are about expressing love for others. This is also a responsible number, often the number of those who guide others. There is a strong sense of harmony in their lives along with creative abilities. There is a need to be kinder to themselves.
Sevens have an energy of mysticism. These people are highly sensitive, have an affinity with things psychic and often choose careers to do with religion or spirituality. The ability to help others understand the esoteric realms is also indicated. These people may have difficulty in being understood by others.
Eights can master big business, finance and material dealings. These people are practical and grounded. There may be many obstacles to overcome but success is offered if challenges are met. There is an inherent spiritual ability that can be tapped into. There is a need to guard against making money and power the total focus in life.
Nines are completing many lifetimes of work. These people are the humanitarians, they are selfless and deeply caring. The lesson for nines is in finding love and satisfaction their challenge is not to lose themselves by almost giving up the idea of needing personal satisfaction.
Which brings us to the two numbers you do NOT break down to one digit. If your birth numbers add up to 11 or the magical 22. For example – if the person above whose birthdate was 4.4.1956 – that would look like: 4+4+1+9+5+6 = 29 = 11.
Elevens are highly sensitive and idealistic. These people have special skills in inspiring others, possibly even in foreseeing the future. They can rise to the top of their field. There is however, a strong need to ground dreams in the real world and to carry through their grand ideals into practical expression. They need to guard against becoming dreamers rather than doers.
Twenty Twos live and encourage the highest ideals of mankind. This is an incredibly rare number. This person would be a modern-day King Arthur. It speaks of many lives in preparation coupled with an inherent ability to be a master of life. Life will bring many challenges and tests. The key here is to learn balance. These people will work for humanity. 22’s have huge potential if the power they are given is properly handled. I then got creative and moved on to looking at the numbers for various world leaders – and here they are:
Napoleon Bonaparte: 15.8.1769 = 1+5+8+1+7+6+9 = 37 = 10 = 1
Steve Jobs: 24.2.1955 = 2+4+2+1+9+5+5 = 28 =1==1
Mitch McConnell: 20.2.1942 = 2+0+2+1+9+4+2 = 20= 2
Queen Victoria: 24.5.1819 = 24+5+1+8+1+9 = 30 = 3
The Dalai Lama: 6.7.1935 = 6+7+1+9+3+5 = 31 =4
President Roosevelt: 30.1.1882 = 30+1+1+8+8+2=23 =5
Abe Lincoln: 12.2.1809 =12+2+1+8+0+9 = 23= 5
Saint Jean-de-Arc: 6.1.1412. 6+1+1+4+1+1 = 15 =6
Winston Churchill: 30.11.1874 = 30+11+1+8+7+4 = 25 =7
Princess Diana: 1.7.1961 = 1+7+1+9+6+1 = 25 =7
Queen Elizabeth: 21.4.1926 = 21 + 4+1+9+2+6 = 25= 7
Stephen Hawkins: 8.1.1942 = 8+1+1+9+4+2 = 25 = 7
Nelson Mandella: 18.7.1918 =1+8+7+1+9+1+8 = 35= 8
Mother Theresa: 26.8.1910 = 2+6+8+1+9+1+0 = 27 =9
Greta Thunberg. 3.1.2003 (3+1+2+0+0+3)= 9
Malala Yousafzai. 12.7.1997. (1+2+7+1+9+9+7) = 36= 9
Sir Edmund Hilary 20.7.1919 = 2+0+7+1+9+1+9 = 29 – 11
President Obama – 4.8.1961 (4+8+1+9+6+1) = 29 =11
Michelle Obama – 17.1.1964. 17+1+1+ 9+6+4 =29= 11
Note: The Obama’s were the 11th family to live in the White House. They surely brought a dignified leadership to the White House, they could have done so much good had they been allowed.
And so I just had to investigate some of the ‘monsters’ in our history … people who shared numbers with some of the world’s greatest leaders, yet chose a different destiny. There are people who hated the Obama’s and love Donald Trump, just as there were people who loved Hitler. It has been MY choice to put them in the ‘monster’ category because to me, their aims were not for the good of humanity, rather for the good of a chosen few at the expense of the rest of us.
Mussolini: 28.9.7.1883 = 2+8+9+7+1+8+8+3 = 46 = 10 =1
Donald Trump. 14.6.1946 = 1+4+6+1+9+4+6 = 31 = 4
Adolf Hitler. 20.4.1889 = 1+0+4+1+8+8+9 = 32 =7
Osama Bin Laden. 10.3.1957. 10+3+1+9+5+7 = 26 = 8
How come Trump has the same destiny numbers as The Dalai Lama? How come Bin Laden has the same numbers as Nelson Mandela? How come Hitler has the same numbers as Sir Winston Churchill? Funny old world. However, our lives are down to ‘choice’. People can choose to work for the good of their fellow man or they can work on their own sad agendas and selfish interests.
NB: I searched and searched and searched for anyone with the destiny number of 2. The only person I found to date was Mitch McConnell – the man who did everything in his power to ensure everything President Obama tried to do was blocked! And I found another couple of strange ones with the lofty number 22:
Reverend Desmond Tutu. 7.10.1931 = 7+1+0+1+9+3+1=22
Dame Margaret Thatcher. 13.10.1925 = 1+3+1+0+1+9+2+5 = 22
This information was adapted from the book ‘The Future Seekers’ by Kimberley Paterson. Check it out. Absolutely worth purchasing the book which I believe is still in circulation. The information above is just a small sliver of the massive amount of information on numerology. For example – the very first number in your date of birth has significance – if you were born on the 1st of a month, that has relevance and ditto for the rest of the people born on the 2nds, 3rds and so on.
The author also explains your current life path i.e. where you are in a nine-year cycle. I’ve shared that number with so many people who were feeling stuck and as soon as we work out that number, they breathe a huge sigh of relief, as in ‘ah that makes so much sense as to how I’m feeling’.
And finally, if you want to dig into the science of numbers even more than this, I can recommend ‘The Life You Were Born to Live’ by Dan Millman (author of The Way of the Peaceful Warrior). He studied the history of numerology and discovered that Pythagoras was one of the first mathematicians to equate numbers with spirituality.
Have fun with this – our grand-children surely did.
